NEWS 2U Overview

News2U is a news/news release manager for web sites. You can use NEWS2U to let others submit news to your web site. You can also edit the news after its received and publish it. News2U will automatically archive and delete news based on your settings.

News2U can be used in two ways: 1) to provide a single html page that provides a series of short news summaries; or 2) to provide summaries with a link to full article text. Either way, its quick and easy!

Features

News2U features include:
  • HTML-based templates - Change the way a listing looks without having to know PERL. Simply replace the default HTML template with your own creation.

  • Email Notification - You can automatically notify the editor or site administrator when someone submits a new article.

  • Keyword Search - Entering keywords, site visitors can search for current and archived stories.
  • HTML-Based editing/administration - Using the any web browser, you can enter a password-protected administrative area to add/modify/delete/publish stories.
  • Automatic archival and removal of old stories.

Compatibility

Take a look at the News2U demo.  Online Arts also uses News2U to generate its news page -- check it out if the stories in the demo have expired (they do from time to time).

Download

Try before you buy! You will be e-mailed download instructions for News2U after you successfully complete a trial request form. However, you are expected to pay for the script within a week of successful installation.

Registration

A single license for News2U is $75. As part of the trial agreement, you will be asked to send the license fee to Online Arts within seven days of successful installation. Every license includes free upgrades and patches for life. Online Arts doesn't believe in charging its customers more than once.
