There are still a lot of gaps in this page!! Many of the most familiar Mediterranean herbs - rosemary, thyme, etc - do not yet appear. They will one day, I promise. Meanwhile there are a few datasheets on generally less well-known plants.

The plants are classified according to their preferred - coastal, humid, plains & cultivated areas (PCA), garrigues, maquis & forests, deserts, or highlands. A particular plant may be listed in more than one category.

I've tried to concentrate on plants that are more or less exclusive to the Mediterranean and, generally, those that have been described by "local" authors.
